If you follow me on instagram, you’ll have seen that yesterday the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Vancouver as part of their royal trip to B.C. Friends & I went down to the sea wall to see them arrive by float plane. Of course, being a fashion blogger, I had to take the opportunity to wear the most ‘royal appropriate’ outfit I could think of.
The weather is freezing right now, so I decided to wear m pale pink winter dress coat on top of my cream dress. People tend to shy away from pastels in the fall and winter, but I think that pale pink is an all season color. It works great for fall paired with winter whites and greys.
While we only got to see Princess Kate & Will for a few minutes, it was truly incredible. Kate is even more gorgeous than I possibly could have imagined, and Will is even funnier (he made a comment about taking selfies!).
Kate wore a stunning Alexander McQueen red & white dress. The dress is part of their 2017 resort collection – though the actual dress is quite different than what Kate wore as she had a number of alterations done – including adding “dress shirt” style sleeves and lengthening the hem. She accessorized it with bright red pumps and a red clutch.
Below are some photos from the event. The quality is not the greatest, but I just love that I have them! For more photos & videos head on over to my instagram stories – quickly before they expire!

How fun you got to experience this first-hand Lee. Your outfit is something I could see Kate wear, you made her proud. Of course the Duchess looks amazing, too.
