Cropped Sweater c/o // Jeans (under $50!) // Similar Ankle Boots: (1), (2) // Handbag // Ring c/o
Today’s outfit is way, way, out of my comfort zone. We’re talking miles away.. galaxies away… eons away … really any sort of extreme measure you can think of, that’s what we’ve got here. I haven’t worn a cropped top sweater since… well; ever. I decided to wear it for today’s outfit for three reasons:
1) I really loved the braided scarf neckline and just had to get it.
2) I think it’s important to step out of your fashion comfort zone every now and again; it’s the only way for your style to evolve and grow. And;
3) To respond to a few reader emails I received about whether or not I think it’s appropriate for women in their 30s to wear cropped tops. My advice is ALWAYS to not feel limited in your style by your age. Where what makes you happy.
I love the camel color of this cropped sweater, and clearly the scarf neckline. It’s really soft as well, and the perfect compliment to a simple pair of jeans and ankle boots. An effortless fall outfit. If you haven’t heard me rave about these ankle boots yet – check out this post on why they elongate your legs (and how to pick ankle boots that do elongate your legs!)
I hope you all had a great weekend and are feeling ready to take this work week by storm. I’ve got a relatively light week in Court this week, so I’m excited to actually have some down time.
