For real though – how great is that dropped waist polka dot dress?! What a versatile piece – it can be dressed up for work or styled into a great date night / after work look. I love pieces that give you that kind of style flexibility. For this week’s work look I decided to pair the polka dot dress with a bold red blazer, black suede smoking flats and a black monogram-able crossbody bag. I was going for a bit of a casual french vibe, and I feel like I achieved it with this look!
For this week’s weekend look, I wanted to style this matching leopard print scarf and gloves set. I am obsessed with leopard print and love that this is actually a matching set. I decided to go with a camel striped shirt (because stripes and leopard go together like Peanut Butter & Jam .. or me & Prince Harry :P). I topped off the look with some bronze glitter flats that I have been eyeing for a while. My friend Britta has these in silver and they are even more beautiful in person. I may need to add these to my shopping cart this month.
I hurt my ankle in a dance class last week. It’s nothing serious, but has had me avoiding heels all week long. The good news is that reminded me how much style can actually be brought to an outfit with a cute pair of flats. This is why by the way, both of this week’s looks feature flats. Since I’m newly pro-flat lol, I decided to also round up my top 10 favorite flats that are currently available. All are under $100 (woot!)
