Trends in fashion the past few years have often not been work appropriate and not, personally, styles I would wear on the weekend when I am looking to be comfortable. I think that is why I am so obsessed with this season’s trends – they can easily be made work appropriate and styled into your everyday weekend wear.
The Work Outfit:
Two of the biggest trends this spring are ruffles and lace. This flounce hem skirt and lace cuff button down add these trendy elements to otherwise classic cuts – creating work wear that is office appropriate while still being fashion forward. I’ve been on the lookout for new classic nude pumps and these ones are gorgeous and affordable so they are now at the top of my ‘want’ list! I added marble drop earrings to this outfit because I can’t get enough of marble!
The Weekend Outfit:
I cannot express how much I love this ruffle sleeve tee. Taking the most comfortable, versatile item ever – a classic white cotton tee – and adding the ruffle trend?! Perfection. Another trend this season is embroidery and I love that these embroidered sneakers bring that trend into footwear. These are definite spring must-haves. Paired with classic distressed denim and an embroidered clutch and you’ve got an outfit that is great for a casual brunch or weekend shopping.
Are you loving the lace, ruffle and embroidery trends as well?! What other spring trends are you liking?!
