Happy Monday! I am back from San Francisco and headed to work this morning. I had such a great couple of days meeting up with blogger friends (hey Kelsey heyyyy!) and catching up with my friend I was visiting. If you follow me on instagram, you know that I went to Nordstrom and bought a ton of work wear from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Today I wanted to share my fitting room photos with you and give you reviews of the pieces, so that you can shop the NSale before it ends next week!! I’ll also share at the bottom some of the most popular items from the NSale that have recently restocked some sizes. Hopefully some things you missed out on initially are available now!
First, the above look. This blouse was hands down my favorite item from the sale. The silk is so soft and it is clearly well made. I loved the french cuff sleeves and all the piping detail. I would size down in this though (I was a small when I am most commonly a medium). The pants I am wearing here were also a surprise find. I am always keeping my eyes open for good black work pants, since they really are surprisingly difficult to find. These are so comfortable, they are stretchy and knit fabric so they practically feel like pajamas. I highly recommend them!
Sleeveless Turtleneck // Pants
These are the first two items I have tried from the brand Emerson Rose. I definitely like the cut and quality – especially of the sleeveless turtleneck top. Both also fit true to size so this is a great brand to check out if you are looking for some new work wear.
These motto leggings were at the top of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale wishlist. Zella leggings are always a safe bet (they don’t loose their stretch, they don’t pill and they are incredibly comfortable) so when I saw these with the moto detailing I knew I wanted to check them out! The one thing I find with them is that they do fit a bit tight so your regular size should be fine but if you are a looking for added comfort consider going up a size.
If you follow my instastories you’ll likely have seen my (embarassing) happy dance over the fact that this pencil skirt has pockets. I want to stock up on printed pencil skirts (so this striped one is great) but the pockets are what really sold me. The blazer is also a great one- I love that it is a bit longer than a traditional blazer – I just always find that more flattering. The blazer also comes in other colors! I am considering getting the blush pink as well.
This dress is a “meh” for me. I love the flutter sleeve detailing, but I didn’t find the completely straight neckline to be flattering. This is one I don’t think I’ll be keeping.
