Work Wear | Leopard Print Coat

December 29, 2017

coat c/o // button down shirt // skinny pants // suede heels // cabby hat

I was really unsure about furry coats coming back into trend this winter. I figured there was no way to make them look a) work appropriate and b) flattering. Thankfully I was so very wrong. When I got this leopard print coat from Tart Collections I was really impressed by the quality – the faux fur is so soft and the entire jacket just feels really well made. I knew I wanted to wear it because of how nice it was, but was still unsure about the trend and whether I could wear it to work.

I found that the key to making such a statement piece work appropriate is to keep the rest of the look classic and neutral. For today’s outfit then I went with my staple skinny work pants, a black button down, black suede heels and a black velvet cabby hat. Clearly the hat is not something I would wear into work, but the hat and coat are the perfect combination to stay warm while commuting to work this winter!

In general, this hat has quickly become one of my favorite winter accessories. It’s under $15 and the cabby hat style has been hugely popular this season. What I like about this one though is that it is unique in that it is all velvet. It’s a cool take on this cabby hat trend.

If you want to see other ways some blogger friends of mine have styled this leopard coat, check out these posts by: Oh-So Lovely Life, Miss Moore Style & The Beauty Beau! We thought it would be cool to all take one item and show you different ways to style it. If there are any other trends you’d like to see us tackle, let me know in the comments below! I already had one reader message me on instagram asking for velvet as something we all style different ways; and I definitely think that would be awesome! Let me know your other ideas!

For a few people, young people, the garments that they wear to class must be at a specific level of coolness as per them.gaps

Now in life they are excessively critical, making it impossible to have something purchased for them that they will really wear.gaps
