This flared sleeve blouse is a perfect compliment to my classic burgundy pencil skirt! Flared sleeves are a fashion trend I really like because it’s one of the relatively few trends that can easily be styled for the office. The accordion pleated sleeves on this top are such an attention grabber, but the blouse itself is still professional. I love the floral print and the ruffled high-neck cut as well! This is a really affordable shirt; so I wouldn’t say it is the best quality, but I do love it for the price!
The burgundy pencil skirt is one I got right before New York Fashion Week last fall and is a definite staple in my wardrobe. The burgundy/wine color adds drama to a work day outfit but is more subdued and (arguably) more professional than a typical bright red. It also happened to compliment the color in the floral blouse perfectly; so I knew I had to style this together! The skirt itself is sold out, but I have linked up a similar one for you below.
If you read my 8 Designer-Inspired Handbags Every Woman Needs post, or watched “my favorite dupes” video, you recognize this gorgeous little bag. I wasn’t lying when I said I cannot stop wearing it! This is a perfect dupe for the Celine luggage bag (it’s a micro mini size) and I find it goes with almost every outfit.
I can’t end this post without talking about my shoes. These black suede pumps are definitely new favorites of mine. I did a pretty big ASOS haul a couple of weeks ago. … I may or may not have purchased 5 pairs of work appropriate heels! Eek! These are one of the 5 pairs and I am obsessed with the deep V cut to the toe. This has been a trendy shoe shape for a while (it was everywhere at NYFW last fall!) I am only now however starting to see this shape on a more classic pump – ie. one you can wear to the office. I scooped these up the moment I saw them! They run true to size and, so far, are quite comfortable!
I hope you all have an amazing (and easy!) work day ahead of you. My dad has been in town for the past few days and I am sad to be heading out to the airport today to send him back home. He helped me do so many home renovations this weekend; my condo feels so fresh and improved for spring!
