Paris, Oui? I would like to be wearing this outfit going for a stroll through a Parisian side street with a fresh croissant and hot cup of coffee!
I fell in love with this ribbon trim blouse the moment I saw it. I am a sucker for detailing on shirts; and the ribbon trim on this shirt makes such a statement. The attention to detail on this shirt is actually quite impressive (especially given the under $25 price tag)! The ribbon detail is accented by pearl buttons which are so beautiful. I knew I wanted to create an outfit with this shirt sticking with the red, white and blue theme. I get major Parisian vibes from this shirt, so I wanted an outfit that complemented that.
When I found this royal blue midi skirt on Amazon of all places, I knew it would be the perfect match for this shirt. I have been on the hunt for midi skirts for the past few months. I find it hard to find skirts that sit at just the right spot on your waist, and hit at just the right spot above your knees. They’re not something I would normally buy online because of how nit picky I am about them, but the royal blue color, perfect pleats, and affordable price tag on this skirt meant I just had to try it out! I am so glad that I did! I definitely think this midi skirt will be a staple in my closet over the next few months; and I like it so much that I may order it in another color or two for the spring & summer. Again, the quality for the price is really impressive. The skirt is lined which gives it some weight that allows the skirt to sit nicely.
As far as accents for this outfit; I stuck with nude heels because they are my go to shoes for midi skirts. With a longer skirt your legs (clearly) don’t look as long, so by opting for a nude shoe you create the illusion of longer legs. Nude pumps are hands down the easiest way to elongate your legs! Finally I topped the outfit off with my new MK crossbody bag. This bag is directly inspired by the Gucci Soho Disco – the perfect size & shape. What really sold me on the bag though was the tassel detail. It adds just enough flare to keep the rectangular, classic bag from being boring!

Tres chique!
Thank you so much!
Love your blog. Can I ask what size are you wearing? I go from 6 to 8, and S to M, and I am trying to figure out what size to buy.
This is really a cute preppy look. I totally could see this on the streets in Paris!

Thank you so much! And absolutely! In the skirt or the top? I am usually a size 4-6 and I wear a size S or M. In both the top and the skirt I am wearing a Medium and they are perfect!
Thank for your response and inspiration.
You’re so welcome! Thank you for reading my blog!
