I’ll be wearing these pastel pink tie waist pants to the office all spring and summer long. This color combo – pastel pink and cream – is one of my favorites for spring because it is feminine and professional. Spring is probably my favorite season when it comes to fashion at the office. By March every year I am so tired of my black suits. Don’t get me wrong, a sleek belted suit is definitely my take-charge-kick-some-ass outfit; but I love that spring affords the opportunity to add more color to work day style.
I actually have these tie waist pants in navy blue from last season. I can’t recommend this pant enough (in any of the many colors it comes in) because it is a flattering cut for work and is actually comfortable. I would size up in these pants though! I wear a size 4-6 normally and these are a size 6 and are still a bit tighter than I would like. This pastel pink shade is on trend right now, is perfect for spring, and looks work day appropriate. I mean, how can you not add these pants to your wardrobe?!
As soon as I ordered these pants I knew I wanted to wear them first with my lace cream top. This top is from last summer’s Nordstrom sale, and so is unfortunately sold out. I did link 2 other mock neck lace top’s below for anyone who is interested! Really though, the ‘essence’ of this outfit could easily be created by pairing the pink tie waist pants with any cream colored top and nude accessories that you already have in your closet.
The earrings I’m wearing with this outfit are actually ones I found in a small shop when I was in Aruba with my mom last fall. They were under $15 and I couldn’t resist the fan shape tassels (tassel earrings are everywhere, but this fan shape is less common- or at least was last fall!) The cream color matched perfectly with this lace top so I wore the earrings and lace top (I had it with me in Aruba) a lot during my trip. I’m excited that now that we have spring weather here in Vancouver I can wear that combination with dress pants (these pink ones of course, but really any of my dress pants) for a day in the office.
I know we are only at Wednesday, but man-oh-man, has this ever felt like a long work week. In part because I am sick and in part because I have had a lot on my plate at work this week. Weeks like this I definitely try to pause and reflect, even if it’s only for a few minutes at the beginning of the day, to remind myself how much I genuinely love being a lawyer and love what I do. I feel lucky that I get to do the work I do, all while being my own boss and getting to run LegalLee Blonde. … That said, I sure hope today slows down a bit haha! Also, thank goodness for americano mistos!
