Topshop Outfit & My Unusual Fear

how to style a beret

This topshop outfit takes the top spot for “things I never thought I would wear”. Curious as to why?

This rabbit print blouse is so perfect for Easter weekend… but also such a great addition to your spring wear-to-work wardrobe. I love it! The problem? *cue embarassing drum roll*… I am TERRIFIED of rabbits.

Yep, you read that correctly. Now, I consider myself a pretty fearless person. I have white water rafted the Nile, I have swam with sharks, I took the leap and started my own law firm at age 28. But, I am scared senseless of fluffy little, supposedly “cute” bunnies lol. I have been afraid of them for as long as I can remember, and my whole family thinks it’s hilarious! Noone can figure out where the fear comes from but man-oh-man Easter is difficult for me with bunny things everywhere *shudders*.

Luckily, my fear of rabbits does not (apparently) translate to ones printed on blouses because I love this rabbit print blouse from topshop. As I said, it’s great for Easter of course, but also just a great spring item. It would be great for work under a blazer, or paired with a denim jacket for the weekend. It’s a weird mix of hipster-meets-grandma-meets-high-fashion. I am digging it.

Now, on to the rest of this outfit! How cool are the frill hem pants and pink beret!?! The frill hem pants will definitely be making a lot of appearances in my wardrobe this spring. They are a great way to make a statement and add some fun to any outfit.

Similarly, the pink beret is just the perfect addition to an outfit. I have been wanting a beret for ages. … And by ages, I’m talking since Gossip Girl circa ’04. This has been a long-standing trend crush lol! I love the look of a classic red beret (of course) but this pink one just has such a fresh and springy feel; I couldn’t resist adding it to my closet!

My earrings (also a topshop item) are sold out in black, but still available in pink so I have linked those up below. My pink glitter handbag is borrowed from a friend (thanks Britta!) and is also sold out, so, I have linked similar pink glitter bags as well.

Happy Easter everyone!! Do you all have today off? I am on full on vacation mode, with courts being closed both today and Monday. I am so looking forward to a 4 day weekend and am starting it off with a bang by checking out a new Vancouver hotel, Parq, tonight! It should be a great time and a perfect way to kick off the Easter weekend.

What do you all have planned for Easter?

Thanks babe! And haha I know; it’s so ridiculous! Thankfully I avoided all bunnies this weekend so I feel like I’m in the clear for a while haha. Hope you had an amazing Easter!
