Hello from paradise!! And by paradise, I mean Aruba! If you follow my instagram, you likely already know that I have been in my favorite place in the world, Aruba, since Saturday. Over the next week and a half I wanted to share with you some of the outfits I have been wearing in Aruba, since I know many of you have fall / winter getaways coming up.
I’m kicking it of today with the perfect dress for your fall/winter vacation. Why is this dress perfect? Well: ….
This dress is reversible!! I love that it can be worn tied into a bow around your chest, or you can flip it for a more covered look. Depending on what activities you have going on throughout your vacation day, this versatility is a God send, making this the perfect dress for your fall/winter vacation.
If you want to see what it looks like worn the other way around, head to my Shop My Instagram page (note: depending on what time you are reading this, it may not be up yet! I’ll post it by 9am EST!)
Other great things about this dress? The embroidered straps of this dress are so unique, and just feel Caribbean/tropical. The dress is also super lightweight and breathable, important characteristics in clothing you’ll be wearing on a warm-weather vacation!
The one thing I will note is that because of the thin/lightweight fabric, this dress wrinkles. It wrinkles a s**t ton (…to be more specific haha). Not a huge deal, you can easily get the wrinkles out with a travel steamer- which you should always have with you when travelling (blogger trick of the trade folks!). Also, bloggers everywhere swear by this travel steamer, so if you are in need of one, order this STAT. It’s under $30 and is small enough to pack, even in a carry-on.
Aside from this perfect dress for your fall/winter vacation; the rest of my outfit is tropical vacation ready as well. The beautifully sunny weather here in Aruba has kept me in sunglasses constantly; and I have been carrying this round rattan handbag everywhere since it fits everything I need, but is comfortably worn cross body style so I can be hands-free for all the tourist-y exploring I’ve been doing. Also, you can’t get more summery / tropical than rattan!
My sandals are inspired by Valentino’s; but are under $150. I love the fit of these sandals as well. The chunky low heel means that not only are they comfortable for walking all day; but they don’t present any difficulties when walking on sand or other uneven ground.
I’ve got just two days left in Aruba, and I intend to make the most of them by doing next to nothing! I love exploring when I travel, but I always like to end my travels on a relaxing note so that i can actually go back to work refreshed. On the agenda for the next two days is floating in the ocean, reading books on the beach, and a bit of swimming in the pool. Oh, and I’ll squeeze in eating at at least one more of my favorite restaurants before I go! My absolute favorite restaurant is Pinchos, and I plan on heading there for dinner at sunset tonight. Maybe I’ll even wear this dress again since it really is the “perfect dress for your fall/winter vacation”
