I’ve never been a fan of winter – I packed up at 18 and moved to the warmest city in Canada for a reason! Haha! That said; I love winter fashion. Love, love, love. The ability to play with layering and mixing textures is definitely what makes winter fashion so much more fun and, frankly, more creative than spring/summer fashion.

And let’s face it; as much as everyone and their dog is talking about spring & spring fashion & sunshine & warmer temps … the reality is we’ve still got a fair bit of winter ahead of us; so we might as well focus on the positive side of that – chic winter fashion.
This layered neutrals look is one of my favorite outfits of this winter. You can create a really chic look simply by combining different shades of grey, camel/tan, and blush in your outfit. My grey check coat is from Ever New, but no longer available. I’ve linked up three similar coats for you though! What I’d look for in a coat for this grey and camel layered neutrals look is a grey coat with a pattern that uses a bit of camel/tan.
My coat was a perfect match for my beige pants – pants that I like so much, I have them in four colors! They are mid-rise skinny pants and are just a great staple to have in your closet.
I accessorized this layered neutrals outfit with my blush hat. I love that the tan-blush tone compliments the camel in the rest of this outfit!
I also need to talk to you about these boots. How freaking cool and unique are these boots?! I swooned the moment I saw the unique heel detail, and knew I needed to have them. They are from online retailer SheIn and so I had my doubts about quality. I can say though that I am pleasantly surprised – the quality on these (not every item from SheIn of course, but these particular boots) is actually great. Especially for the under $5o price tag!!
One last thing – can I just take a moment to talk about these incredible pictures? While I was in New York I met up with a photographer named May Minard for a shoot, and these are her handiwork. I was seriously blown away by the pictures she took and cannot wait to share the rest of them with you (there are two more outfits!) I honestly think the photo shoot with May is one of the best photo shoots I’ve ever had. I highly, highly recommend her if you are ever looking for a photographer in New York. I will 100% be shooting with her again in September (when I am next in New York).

Thank you Kim, that’s so sweet!
I’ll be honest, I HATE the heat haha sounds like we’re polar opposites. But I sure do love winter fashion like you, so that we can agree on 🙂 This outfit is fantastic!
Haha really!?! Ugh I would live in the tropics if I could, I am soooo made for the heat!
The colors in these photos is perfect!! And you look so chic in winter fashion, I always feel like a disaster
Thank you so so much! And aww I feel ya – Winter fashion can be a struggle when trying not to look overwhelmed by fabric. It’s all about layering and always having at least one (top or bottom) fitted piece so you don’t feel swallowed up in your clothes!
I’m all for the neutrals. I love that you can style the colors with pretty much anything.
Agreed!!
Love these layers Lee! Especially that classic winter coat and those fab booties! I also love the architecture of that building you are in front of!
