blouse // ruffle shoulder harness belt // skinny jeans // heels // polka dot socks
Day three of NYFW was a much needed break for me. I started the day with a photo shoot in Soho (I can’t wait to share the outfit photos I took for the blog- stay tuned!) and then had just one presentation – the Yuna Yang presentation. This was my second season attending the Yuna Yang presentation (you can see my recap from September here) and I always love the unique locations she chooses to hold her presentations and how wearable and beautiful her pieces are.
See what I mean? Yuna Yang creates pieces that you can actually wear – perfect to brighten up your wardrobe. The middle outfit above is definitely something I could see being a great wear to work outfit for spring.
What surprised me about this year’s collection was a slight move away from her traditional flowy, feminine pieces into the world of atheleisure wear. The first photo below is a perfect example. Yuna Yang took the athletic trend and added her feminine touch with the ruffle midi skirt. So cool!
My absolute favorite piece from the fall/winter 19 Yuna Yang collection is the below dress. The wrap detail is classic Yuna Yang (so feminine) and I love it, but what really grabbed my attention is the layered skirt. I love the fact that the print is under a semi-sheer layer. Such a thought out, beautiful detail!
Other than the Yuna Yang collection I focused my day 3 of fashion week on meetings and PR showroom visits. I was also able to stop by a pop-up hair salon thanks to Riviere Agency. I had my hair styled into this really fun braid crown (shown in my outfit pictures below) thanks to Before Beauty Bar.
Since I was wrapped up with my day by about 4pm I was actually able to relax and have some downtime with my roommates. We went to ByChloe for vegan comfort food and oh my gosh you guys – if you have a ByChloe near you, you need to go. It was so, so delicious!
How cool is this blouse?! I love the face drawings; it feels so artsy and so luxe – but is under $20!. To add a bit more edge to it, I decided to style it with this harness belt over top. This is such a weird and fun accessory.
My black pants are actually just my new favorite oh-so-comfy skinny jeans. They feel like leggings and I cannot stop wearing them! I finished the outfit with my white heels and polka dot socks. These socks come in both black and white polka dot (I styled the white polka dot ones in this Valentine’s day outfit) and I can’t recommend them enough as a fun accessory to add some flair to your outfits.
I agree with you, that dress is stunning! I love the pattern underneath.
Isn’t it cool!!
That Yuna Yang collection is gorgeous! I totally wish I made it out to NY for fashion week. Love living through all the ladies who went!
Isn’t it so pretty! I just love the silhouettes she uses. And awww, come in the fall!!!
What a fun day! Love your top and that harness is genius!
XOXO

Thanks Cathy!! I was definitely unsure of the harness belt, but I figured for the price (so cheap) it was worth a shot and I actually ended up loving it! I can’t wait to style it in the spring over a boho maxi dress. I think the contrast will be really fun!
I always love Yuna’s collections! She always picks the most interesting and unique locations too!
I totally agree! I love that it’s more than just showing the collection for her – it’s about creating an experience!
Your Yuna Yang highlights really are stunning! I love all the prints and colors.
Your face blouse is so fun too, can’t beat the price point either!

Aren’t they cool! And re. my face blouse – right?! Such a great deal for the price!
I wish I knew that you were at Fashion Week- we could have met up! You look way cool in this look & the presentation is so beautiful! I hope I can go see it in person next year!
Ahh I’m sad I missed you! Are you going in the fall?! If so lets plan on grabbing coffee then!
And thank you so much for your kind words!
I always have such FOMO while reading the NYFW posts like these. I hope I get to go one day!
Aw I hope you do to! If you ever have any questions about it just let me know!
Sounds like you had such a great time! Love how you added those fun socks!
Thank you so much!!
That pink patterned dress is ADORABLE! I love the subtle print 🙂

Right! It’s so unique!!
I love those skirts at Yuna Yang! And your polka dot socks peeking out the bottom of your pants!! I wore polka dot socks with one of my outfits too but I think you’re styling turned out way better than mine!

Aren’t they great! And thank you! I love a subtle touch of polka dots to add some fun to an outfit. Aww Im sure yours looked great. As long as you felt confident in your outfit thats all that matters!
Oh my gosh girl friend I am obsessed with this look on you! Next fashion week we need to hang out every day so I can see all your fabulous looks first hand and so we can actually grab a snap together!

Aw thank you babe!! And ahhh yes please!! Are you going in September??
I have never been the girl who keeps up with designers, probably because so many of their styles seem unapproachable for the “everyday girl.” But I’m so glad you posted these pictures because I love everything! I can totally see what you say about Yuna Yang’s collection being actually wearable and I’m in love!

Aw thank you Virginia! And I definitely get it – high fashion can be extremely unwearable. Part of what I like about it in general though is looking at the collections as a whole in terms of what the trends are, not the exact pieces, because you know those are the trends – as far as colors, fabrics and silhouettes, are what will be making their way into mainstream stores in the coming year!
