One of my favorite fun spring wear-to-work looks this year is this outfit with lilac culottes. These culottes are an affordable fashion find that can easily be paired with higher end pieces for a chic but modern spring outfit. This look is a personal favorite because of the combination of lilac and green floral.
These lilac culottes are under $25, so they are a great way to try out a trendy piece (both lilac as a color and culottes as a shape are trending for spring/summer) without breaking the bank. They are a lightweight fabric which is great for the upcoming warm weather days.
Now, the quality is not amazing, let’s remember the $25 price tag, but for something you want to wear this season (and that cost under $25) they do make a great statement piece. I love the detailing of the gold buttons at the front!
This blouse is a favorite of mine because of the many ways it can be styled. The scarf neckline can be tied at the v-neck part of the blouse into a loose bow, it can be tied in a bow closer to your neck (as shown on the model here), or it can be wrapped around your neck for a layered look as I have done with this outfit with lilac culottes.
The blouse is also currently on sale (woohoo!) so if you are interested in it, get yours now before they out! (…I paid full price for it just two weeks ago, so let me pause for a moment to be jealous of the deal you are getting lol).
To finish up this look I went with a lilac handbag and my grey suede pumps. I know suede is often thought of as a winter fabric, but because I like mixed textures in my outfits I find myself wearing suede shoes throughout spring/summer.
Side note: An easy way to add more polish to your outfits is to wear two pieces in the same pattern or complementary colors/patterns with two different textures. This is a go-to formula among fashion editors, and it works like a charm!
I hope you all have a great day ahead! I know many of you don’t have today off work, so if you are working, I hope you are at least full of delicious Easter or Passover treats and I hope that today treats you well!
We have our second family Easter event today; my grandparents and extended family will be coming over for Easter dinner. My mom and I baked a cake yesterday that I am so proud of! I am not much of a baker but this gluten free coconut cake looks really good, so fingers crossed it tastes good as well! I’ll be posting pictures of it to my instastories, and sharing the recipe there later today if you want to check it out!
