Corporate Queen – Feminine Office Outfit Idea

November 7, 2019

I’m all for a good pant suit (as evidenced here & here) but every once in a while, I just want to dress like a princess. Given that I work in an office environment, donning a ball gown and tiara isn’t exactly above-board, so to do so I find pieces that are professional, but with a princess / queen flare – a feminine office outfit (if you will).

skirt (similar, similar) // blouse // headband // blush heels

This outfit is my most recent ‘corporate queen’ creation. The pastel colors, the flare of the midi skirt and, of course, the headband are all princess-like while being a professional feminine office outfit.

The skirt is from the Richard Allan x H&M collection, which is one of H&M’s designer collaborations that has a ton of really beautiful pieces with unique prints. I reviewed the collection in full here if you want to check it out!

Sadly this skirt is sold out many sizes already so I’ll include a widget at the bottom of similar skirt options for you check out!

You’ll notice that I did some print mixing with this outfit – the blouse has a subtle small check pattern which I love in contrast with the bold print skirt. One tip for print mixing is to always pair a small print with a big print; don’t mix prints of the same size!

I hope you all have an awesome work day ahead! I’m gearing up for a trial tomorrow; so I am in full lawyer mode today and tomorrow. I’m excited to take a break this weekend and get some holiday decorating started. I know a lot of Americans wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas, but since Canadian Thanksgiving was in October I usually start my holiday decorating as soon as November hits!

The big debate in my house? How big our Christmas tree should be lol.  I have a 7 foot fake tree from years past and Alex has a TINY two foot “coffee table” style tree. Clearly, I think that is way too small! Thoughts?! …. I’m hoping we “compromise” by putting up both trees. That’s how compromises work right?! 😂
