Can you believe the holidays are finally here?! One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is catch up on reading. I am such a book lover, but I find reading really takes a back burner when I’m busy. With the holiday downtime I love to read as many books as I can! If you’re looking to read more during the holiday break as well, I’ve got you covered with 5 books to read over the holidays. Let’s get to it!
Fans of The Handmaid’s Tale rejoice! Margaret Atwood is back with a sequel. If you haven’t read this fall 2019 release yet it would be a perfect, fast-paced holiday read. (here’s the link for my Canadian readers to shop the book!)
This incredible memoir and insight into law and justice in America is a must-read for anyone interested in law, crime or politics. Anthony Ray Hinton spent 30 years on death row for crimes he did not commit. He was exonerated and released in 2015. This is his story. (here’s the link to shop from Canada).
I fell in love with Rupi Kaur when I attended a NYFW media luncheon with her. She is so down to earth and I completely understand why her work is so well loved! The second collection of poems by Rupi Kaur makes a great read for the holidays. Perfect when you only have a few minutes. (Here’s the Canadian link).
I couldn’t help but include this classic because it is my favorite book of all time. If you haven’t read it, it is absolutely a must read. It’s slow at the beginning but the morals and the ideas will stay with you for a lifetime. So worth the slow beginning! (Here’s the Canadian link!)
If you liked Me before You, you’ll love this new book from Jojo Moyes. It’s been widely acclaimed by critics and loved by readers. With themes of friendship, growth and personal strength, it’s a great read! Enjoy! (and once again, here’s the link for my Canadian readers!)
These all sound good. I’m hoping to get a bunch of reading done!
