Who else has been getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit this year?! I’ve been really loving all thing V Day (did you catch my Valentine’s Day Home Decor post?!) and so I wanted to share something food & drink related for the holiday.
When I started thinking about what exactly I wanted to share the first thing that came to mind was charcuterie since, let’s be honest, Alex & I are charcuterie obsessed. Not only do I make charcuterie for every party we host, we also eat this for dinner at least once a month.
Okay enough of my blabbing on and on; let’s get to the “meat” of this post (… get it?! Alex’s terrible puns are clearly rubbing off on me 😂) I’ll go through the details of how to make a Valentine’s Day themed charcuterie board & how to make my favorite Valentine’s Day cocktail – which I’m calling “Love Potion #9”.
For a Valentine’s Day themed charcuterie while sticking within the general charcuterie basics, you want to opt for red foods for your board. I’ll share a full list of what I used below. To make the board feel extra themed – use a heart cookie cutter ( I used two different size ones) to cut one of your harder cheeses into heart shapes.
– 3 meats (I used chorizo sausage, salami, & prosciutto)
– 2 cheeses (I used smoked gouda & goat brie)
– tamarind almonds
– dates
– raspberries
– crackers ( I used Mary’s GF for me, and Ace bread crisps for Alex)
I could not be more in love with this delicious drink! The pale pink color screams Valentine’s Day and it’s quick and easy to make. It tastes like strawberries & chocolate melted together and it is SO good.
In honor of Valentine’s Day I’ve teamed up with a group of other bloggers so we could all share different Valentine’s Day content with you and have you covered for this holiday – with everything from outfits, to beauty, to date night ideas. Check out their posts below:

The heart-shaped cheese is making my day. My husband and I will be away for a family member’s birthday on Valentine’s Day, BUT we will have our own Airbnb, so now I’m thinking we may have to do this little charcuterie board and cocktail for ourselves while we’re there!
Ah that’s such a great idea!! Once you’re done with the birthday stuff (or before as an appetizer) you guys should totally have a valentine’s day charcuterie! Enjoy the trip and I hope the air bnb is awesome!
