collage of work from home outfit ideas

Happy Monday! As we adjust to this new normal of working from home, I wanted to share some work from home outfit ideas. While it’s so tempting to rock your pajamas all day, but when you’re trying to be productive it really helps to get dressed. Plus, that way you’re ready for any Zoom meetings that may pop up in your calendar! I decided that it would be fun to do a full blog post showing what I wore last week, ie. showing a full week’s worth of working from home outfit ideas. Sidenote: If you’re looking for other ‘tips’ for working from home, check out this WFH instagram post. I teamed up with two fellow bloggers to all share our work from home tips and tricks. 🙂

Alright, let’s get to my 5 work from home outfit ideas!

Monday:

A spring-y blouse is a great way to feel ‘normal’ during this anything-but-normal time. I love the neckline & puff sleeves on this floral blouse! It sold out in the pale blue I’m wearing, but it’s still available in 4 other colors. My cotton joggers are ones you’ll see a lot in my new work from home wardrobe! They are $13 jogger pants and are the perfect way to feel like you’re wearing pajamas but look respectable. They fit true to size and are a great everyday pant. I’ve linked up my oxford shoes (which run true to size and also come in pastel pink and tan) but I haven’t actually been wearing shoes while working at home… it just felt weird to take these outfit photos barefoot lol!

Ps. You’ll see the oxfords are linked up twice (as are a few other pieces) whenever I do this it’s because I’m sharing both the US and Canadian links! So if you click one and it doesn’t take you directly to the product it’s because it was the wrong country site, so just click the other and it will work for you. 🙂

Tuesday:

This outfit is the dressiest of all my work from home outfit ideas. I wanted to wear this new lace top I just got because it may be my favorite top of all time! I am in love with the attention to detail – the lace and neckline are gorgeous and if you look closely you can see the gold buttons at the sleeve. This top comes in a bunch of colors and I think I may get it in the cream as well!

I wore this for a work day last week when I was “in Court” all day. Ie. I was on the phone doing bail hearings. One thing I’ve learned from working from home that I didn’t expect is how much my outfit sets my mindset.  I’ve learned that when I am doing work ‘in Court’ I need to be wearing something a bit dressier, it just feels right. So, I went with this lace blouse and some of my favorite suit pants (they’re machine washable!).

Wednesday:

I picked up this white eyelet blouse a while back thinking it would be perfect to pair with jean shorts for spring/summer. I thought it would be too low cut forwork but realized that the way the eyelt is cut, it actually sits in a way that it doesn’t show off your chest and is actually work appropriate1 iIt’s a breathable soft tee so it’s perfect to work from home in. I paired it with my go-to cotton joggers!

Thursday:

This top is another one that I love because it looks professional but is super soft and comfortable. Same thing with these pull-on pants! These come in a bunch of colors, but I love the pastel pink for spring and they are great to style like this for a work from home outfit, and come summer (assuming we go back to work!?) I can wear them with a blazer to dress them up a bit more.

Friday:

striped top // joggers // chain link necklace // coin pendant necklace // oxfords

One last work from home outfit for ya! Please ignore the wrinkles in the top, I wore it all day before remembering I needed to take a photo and apparently I am the queen of wrinkling clothing! 🤦‍♀️  This top though is another super cute and easy top that you can dress up to work from home but will also be cute in the summer just paired with white or denim shorts. I also added some necklaces to this outfit – chain link necklaces are a huge trend right now and this dainty chain link one is great quality for the price! I layered a coin pendant necklace with it – again this is trending but also a classic necklace you’ll be able to get a ton of wear out of.

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed these outfits and found some outfit inspiration. As I write this I’m wearing the pink pull on pants, drinking my coffee and looking at my to-do list for the day. I’m actually finding a lot of enjoyment in working from home and am excited to tackle my to-do list today, which includes drafting another blog post, answering emails, and attending a Zoom meeting for a lawyers association committee I’m on. I hope you all have a great day ahead of you!!

  6. I’ve been working from home for several years and still can’t bring myself to get fully ready, lol. Having said that, love all of your outfits and might be inspired to step away from my joggers! xoxo, Sarah

Haha aw I feel ya, it can be tough! The pink pull on pants would be good for you then since they’re basically just glorified pajamas lol! plus they come in a ton of colors if pink isnt your thing!

I love that you’re finding ways to dress up and still stay comfy. My big shock here is that you’re keeping your hair curled and styled every day! I’ve been mostly just leaving it straight or tying it up in a low bun because my GOSH the roots are so real on my end haha. Gotta get my outfits (and hair) up to par!

    • Lee says:

Thanks! and haha I definitely don’t curl it everyday! My hair is really thick and holds curl well so if I curl it on a Monday (for example) it will easily hold curl for Tuesday and Wednesday (and then usually I wash it on the 4th day). LOL i feel ya on the roots, mine are the same!!

These are such cute outfits! I think the Wednesday one is my favourite 🙂 I’m lucky we don’t often do video calls at work, it’s mostly phone conferences, so I don’t have to dress up. I’m trying to get back into a routine of wearing something other than pyjamas and loungewear, but it’s not something I’m consistent with yet, haha!

Hope that you had a nice weekend 🙂 Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! A new link up is live on my blog now, I’d love you to join again.

    • Lee says:

Haha i get it, its so tempting to stay in pjs! I just find that i am so much less productive and focused if i don’t get dressed!
