It’s Fashion-Christmas-Morning – The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is *finally* open for everyone to shop! 🎁
As promised in Monday’s Top 10 Things to Buy from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post, today’s post is a look at what I think are the best work wear picks from the Nordstorm Anniversary Sale.

Below are 7 Outfits that show my favorite work wear picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Below each photo I’m reviewing size, quality, etc. so you can make the most educated decision about what to spend your money on! Blazer: The best blazer in the sale! Smythe blazers are worth the investment & this one will be gorgeous for fall. It runs small, size up 1 size from your usual. I’m wearing an 8.
Pants: These are my fav item in the sale. The quality is amazing – the material is that sweet spot of thin enough to not add bulk but thick enough to skim the body / be work appropriate. These pants are SO flattering. They fit true to size (I’m in a 6) but they’re a touch snug so size up if you’re between sizes.
Blouse: Runs big, size down a size (I’m in a S and it’s still quite roomy).
Blouse: Such a versatile blouse, it’s great for work and you can style it with jeans on the weekend. The material is light but not see-through and it has a button closure at the neck. It fits true to size!
Pants: Same ones as above!
Tie-Waist Top: Coming in at less than $30 this mock neck top is a closet no-brainer! You can style it with jeans for a casual fall look or pair it with the matching skirt for work. It runs big, size down 1 size (I’m in a S).
Pencil Skirt: My favorite black pencil skirt ever! The longer length is flattering on curvier builds like mine and the material has just the right amount of stretch. It also runs big though so size down 1 size (I’m in a S).
Tweed Blazer: Another amazing designer blazer at a great price (45% off!!) Tweed is trending for fall and this blazer will make any work day look polished and professional. It runs small so size up 1 size (I’m wearing an 8)
Bow Blouse: Same as above!
Black Pants: Same as above!
Check Blazer: This one has a slightly shorter cut than the other VB blazers, so if you prefer that to a longer look (great if you’re shorter) than this is the designer blazer for you! The classic black and white check will be in style for years to come. Like other VB brand items I find it runs small so size up 1 size from your usual (I’m in an 8).
Pants: Same as above!
Faux Collar Sweater: I love the look of a sweater over a button down but hate the bulk. This faux-layered sweater gives you the look without adding the bulk and is SO flattering! It fits true to Ted Baker sizing (I wear a size 2 in TB which is a size 4-6 in other sizing).
Black Pants: Same as above!
Check Contrast Collar Blazer: I love the contrast collar and pocket detail on this blazer! The fit is also nice and slim/hourglass so it really flatters women’s bodies. It fits true to size (I’m in a 6)
Black Silk Top: This silk top is a splurge but it is SO pretty and such great quality. Definitely a piece you will have in your closet for years. It fits true to size (I’m in a S).
Check Skinny Pants: WHY can’t all work pants be made like this!? These are so stretchy and comfortable! They have a side zip and feel like you’re wearing leggings. They also fit true to size (I’m in a 6).

Those last two looks are my top picks – with the layered faux collar piece being hands down my favorite! Gorgeous! My Nordstrom permanently shut down during the height of the pandemic, so I think the closest one to me now is several hours away. Boo-hoo! But I like that I can still shop online!
