Happy fall! Considering I’ve been drinking pumpkin spice coffee and adding leaves and cozy things to our home decor for about 2 weeks now, I’m glad it’s finally actually fall! Today I wanted to bring you a post similar to my summer home decor post, with decor inspiration and ideas by room. I love creating these room decor ‘lookbooks’ for you and hope you find some fall home decor ideas you love!
A logical place to start fall home decor is with the entry to your home! For the entry way I wanted to really bring in the colors and scents of fall, so we’ve got some colorful wreath options, the most delicious smelling candle, and orange plaid pillows to cozy up an entry way bench. This bench is one I highly recommend by the way since it is a great neutral piece that works season to season just by changing the decor around it. Plus the open storage allows you flexibility with stacking shoes, blankets or adding bins.
Personally I love neutral tones no matter the season, and while I like to add pops of orange in fall usually for my living room I stick with neutral tones. This year I love how many options there are for neutral garlands, wreaths and even fake mini pumpkins! Both the rattan and felt pumpkin are so sweet. I also like to add lots of lights and textured cozy pieces (the knit blanket is awesome).
For a more classic fall living room, opt for lots of natural wood and orange/yellow tones. I love the coordinating plaid blanket and pillow as well as the fall decorative pillows to brighten up a room. You also can’t go wrong with smaller decor items like the light up mini pumpkin and decorative fall candle. If you’re looking to upgrade some of your living room furniture this fall, the barn door style cabinet is so chic and a great price!
When it comes to fall home decor ideas, my favorite room to style is the dining room! The options for fall decor accents are always just the best for this room. The fall wreaths for the back of your chairs make such a statement and the pumpkin shaped soup bowls are so darling. Bring in some color with a fall centerpiece and some sweet fall messaging like the “hello pumpkin” place mats or the fall tea towels!
Rustic vibes are always in fashion for a bedroom, but never more than in fall! Again, natural wood, cream and neutral tones and lots of texture really make fall bedroom decor pop. Once again I have to say the knit blanket and felt pumpkin would make perfect decor additions and i just love this framed “Fall to Do List” piece I found on Etsy! This natural wood bedroom furniture would make a great set if you’re going beyond just decor and also looking to update bedroom furniture this fall.
Last but not least, I am a sucker for bar cart decor! Adding seasonal decor to your bar cart is such an easy way to update your home. Plus, it becomes the center of attention when you’re entertaining anyway, so might as well make it look good!
Thanks for reading today’s post! I hope it’s got you excited for all things fall and given you some fall home decor ideas to try out. I’m crazy busy with work this week but can’t wait to spend some time decorating for fall this weekend. I also want to try baking these pumpkin spice snickerdoodle cookies! I’ve heard great reviews. Plus I’ll probably try one of my apple cider cocktails while I’m at it 😉.
