If you’re getting excited for fall/winter fashion look no further than tweed as your #1 fashion trend to try! One of the biggest trends for fall 2020, tweed is great because it’s so versatile. While we’re seeing lots of tweed two piece sets featuring mini skirts, tweed is also something you can easily incorporate it into your wear to work day wardrobe. Starting with…
tweed blazer // similar bow tie blouse (also this sleeveless one) // black pants // similar blush heels (also love these pumps)
This insanely chic blazer! Switching out your standard black blazer or cardigan for a tweed blazer elevates any work day look. I am in love with this Veronica Beard blazer but I know it is a major splurge. At the end of this post I’ll link up other options for tweed blazers at a variety of price points. Everyone deserves to try out this fashion trend, no matter your budget.
If you’re thinking about splurging on this blazer though, let me tell you you won’t be disappointed!! The attention to detail with the buttons, the lapel trim, and even the cut itself are fantastic. I also love the mix of pink & purple shades. They compliment each other really well. One thing to note about this blazer though is that it runs small! I definitely suggest you go up a size from your usual. I wear a 6 and went with an 8. To be honest it’s still a touch snug so I could even have gone with a 10 for a roomier fit.
As far as the rest of this outfit, I paired the tweed blazer with some ‘closet staples’ of mine. These black pants are by far my most worn work day pant. They look professional but feel like pajamas. I recommend them to everyone! They, unlike the blazer, run big so size down a size from your usual. I’m in a 4!
My bow tie blouse and blush heels are also pieces I have had in my wear-to-work rotation for years. Both are sold out now so I’ve linked similar options if you’re interested!
There you have it! Not only a new fall fashion trend, but a fashion trend to try for work! I love when trends can be styled for the office and this trend definitely fits the bill.
I hope you all have a great work week ahead of you! I’m back in court all day every day this week, so it’s pretty nuts. Next week though I have a bigger mix of days actually in court and days working from home doing Zoom court.
I’m curious (and would love to hear in the comments below): Are you back working in an office or are you still working from home? Let me know!

Thanks Hillary!!
Obsessed with this sassy blazer on you! Also loving a good tweed piece for colder weather. It never goes out of style!
Thank you so much Greta!
I love the look but have always struggled to wear it casually since I work from home. Love how you styled it! xoxo, Sarah
Aw thanks Sarah! You can definitely style them more casually if you want – I love a tweed blazer with just jeans and white tee! Or for a casual work look with black dress pants and a sleeveless blouse!
I can’t look at tweed and *not* immediately think of the cast of Gossip Girl.. and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that because they all had killer classic style. I love this tweed blazer and all the ones you linked. They’re seriously fantastic. I have a couple of tweed skirts but I don’t have any blazers yet, and I might need to change that soon!
Haha thanks amazing. I did love me some Blair Waldorf style back in the day haha! OO love that you have tweed skirts! I need to snag one for winter! I want to style it with a black turtleneck and colored tights (… and as I write them I’m realizing how ‘gossip girl’ that is lol. Maybe I haven’t grown out of my style love yet haha!)
Tweed reminds me of fall/ winter months and fighting to stay warm!
Haha fair enough! I definitely wear more tweed when it gets cooler, which here in vancouver is pretty much October – March!
SO chic on you, and I love the cut of it on the bottom.

Such a pretty tweed jacket and chic look for work! I’ve always worked remotely but most of my friends have started going back into the office.
