September 2020 Recap: What a whirlwind month! It’s been quite some time since I did a personal post here on LLB so here’s a September recap sharing where I went, what I bought, what I watched/read and some life updates here and there!
The fall is always the busiest time of the year in Criminal Law, and this September was even busier because all of the Spring files were COVID-adjourned to the fall. It was absolute insanity at work this month – which was actually really fun and really nice after the summer break. I got to work on a number of bigger files this month that really challenged me (in a good way) so it just felt like a great month career wise. Alex and I also really made the most of our down time and even had a weekend getaway!
Alex and I took a weekend trip to the Sunshine Coast (a one hour ferry ride from Vancouver) for a weekend of “glamping” at the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort, It was AMAZING and so, so relaxing. If you’re in BC/Alberta and looking for safe local travel this year, I can’t recommend it enough!
Honestly, it was such a busy week that I didn’t watch much, but i did catch a few fun things:
Oh man, I have SO many plans for this month! October is hands down my favorite month and with yesterday’s news that my month long trial has resolved (I got a great deal for my client! 🙌) I am doing a damn happy dance about having so much free time this coming month to enjoy all things fall.
