Good morning! There is a definite chill in the air this morning and I’m currently drinking a pumpkin spice cake nespresso latte. Fall is officially upon us, and so is fall fashion! This sweater dress is one of my favorite recent purchases, and definitely something I would recommend to every one of you for fall/winter. Read on for why!
This sweater dress is so freaking soft and the most flattering fit. The small slights on each side create a really flattering silhouette and it is just long enough to cover your booty so you can wear it with leggings. The sweater dress is normally $40 but currently 25% off, making it just $30! It comes in NINE colors, so there is sure to be one you love. In addition to this cream one, I also own it in the grey and am contemplating getting it in dark green for winter.
The sweater dress does run a bit big so you can go with your usual size but you could also size down for a more fitted look. I sized down to a small and really like the fit. Ps. I’m pretty tall (5’7 1/2) and it still covers my booty, so any of you tall girls wondering if you can wear it, you definitely can!
As far as the rest of my outfit: I also wanted to tell you about my OTK boots & hat! My boots are a recent purchase and I can’t recommend them enough. They are $130, so pretty well priced for OTK boots, and also come in black. They are really stretchy and so I find that they actually stay in place; a rarity for OTK boots! They’re also good if you have bigger legs and struggle with finding OTK boots that fit since, again, the sketchiness means they fit a wide variety of body shapes/sizes.
This whole outfit, come to think about it, is really a “sisterhood of the traveling outfit” … everything is made to fit every body and look beautiful!
Last thing I wanted to talk about … my hat! I’ve been SO excited to share this find with you!. You know I love a good designer dupe / designer inspired item and this hat is just that! I saw this ‘hack’ on TikTok to give yourself a Gucci hat look… without the Gucci price tag. I’m wearing my Urban Outfitters Flat Brim Fedora (which, FYI, is a great dupe for the Lack of Color hats! I have both and am really impressed by the Urban Outfitters one for the price point). Anyway, I’m wearing my hat with a Gucci inspired headband from Etsy around the rim! Easy peasy! This Etsy find will sell FAST, so snag one ASAP if you want one. Here’s a closer look at the hat with the Gucci inspired headband:
That’s it for my outfit today! As you can see, I wore this look to a pumpkin patch when I went earlier this week with my friend Anca. I think this was the perfect casual but chic fall outfit and it was really comfy and cozy to be outside exploring in.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend ahead. I’m putting up our Halloween decorations this weekend which I’m excited about, and tomorrow I am doing a photo shoot … with Alex! It’ll be really fun / interesting to see what Alex is like in front of the camera lol! The shoot is with an amazing local photographer who reached out about building her portfolio and I feel so grateful to be able to shoot with her. Alex and I don’t have any professional photos together so it will be great to get a few to put up in our home.
