One thing that is close to my heart is supporting small businesses. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Amazon, but when possible I try to support small businesses – especially around the holidays. You can find so many cool gifts that are more unique and more meaningful than items from big box stores if you do a little digging!
Today I wanted to bring your 30 gift ideas from Etsy and from small businesses I’ve discovered this year and love! There are gifts here for your parents, your partner and the kiddos in your life. Swatch Hub makes the most beautiful embroidered and embellished face masks. My favorites are this black and pearl facemask and this cream floral facemask. These make great Christmas gifts- there are some real nice masculine ones as well which would make a great gift for the men in your life. One would also make a great gift for a gift exchange!

Comeback Snacks is gourmet popcorn (it’s so good) but what’s cool about it is it’s origin story. Emily O’Brien, the founder of Comeback Snacks is a Canadian woman who is building her life (and this company) after being released from prison after serving a sentence for drug trafficking. You can read more about her story here. Comeback Snacks, when possible provides employment to men and women with a criminal record helping them find their footing and ‘make their comeback’. Gifting this popcorn to someone this season is as meaningful as it is delicious. Flavor wise, I’d go with the Salted Chocolate Caramel or the Candy Cane Caramel!
4. Huha
Another Canadian brand you need to know about is HuHa! Huha makes underwear that is comfortable and actually good for you, made with fabrics that promote feminine health. Grab a couple pair of these (there’s a cheeky and a thong style) and gift them to your girlfriends or your sisters. These would also make cute stocking stuffers for a roommate/ girlfriends Christmas celebration!
5. The Heart
The Heart in Cloverdale is one of my favorite boutiques. The owner Annie is the sweetest human and she has great taste in clothes and accessories. If you’re looking to pick up some gifts for any of the women in your life (sisters, cousins, mom, friends) you need to check out The Heart. My favorite gift ideas are: the goodnight face bronzing serum from Luna Bronze, the blush cozy sweater and the holiday bundle from Midnight Paloma. The holiday bundle would be an awesome gift for your mom or mother in law!
6. Milk Jar
Milk Jar is a Canadian candle company making candles that are clean burning coconut and soy based. This is a great gift idea since everyone loves candles, but these ones are free from harmful toxins. I’d recommend the Sweater Weather candle and the Holly Diffuser as great gift ideas!
