Faux leather leggings have been a popular fashion trend for the past few years, but what we’re seeing this season is a move towards looser, more relaxed silhouettes in fashion, and with that a move away from faux leather leggings to faux leather pants. I LOVE my faux leather pants and find that they’re surprisingly versatile. That said, I know a lot of people find them to be an intimidating fashion trend so I thought I would share 5 different outfit to show you some examples of how to style faux leather pants!
In my outfit here you can see my favorite way to style them – in a dressy, work appropriate black and camel ensemble. Because the faux leather is such a unique texture you can easily style black on black without it looking like one big blob. I love doing a black sweater and black belt (My Gucci belt is by far my most worn accessory).
To finish off my look I added a double breasted camel coat , waterproof ankle boots, and my Chanel bag. My Chanel is a vintage family heirloom, but if you are looking for affordable, high quality consignment Chanel I highly recommend you check out Fashionphile’s designer bags.

Now, let’s get to 4 other ideas for how to style faux leather pants!
Like I mentioned earlier leather pants are more versatile than you think! For a really fashion forward, comfortable look, create an athleisure look around your faux leather pants! With this outfit I added a white v-neck tee, a quilted bomber jacket, ball cap and faux leather black sneakers. This would be such a chic outfit to go run errands in. It’s elevated athleisure at it’s finest!
On the other side of the fashion spectrum you can dress up faux leather pants in a “Paris Cool girl” chic way, styling them with a black turtleneck (ps. this one is under $10 and comes in a ton of colors) and a sweater vest. Sweater vests are really trendy right now and definitely worth adding to your closet. Style with the some gold accessories, a designer bag (or designer inspired) and some patent ankle boots and you are straight out of a fashion magazine my friend!
If you’re looking for another dressy / professional way to style them (other than the first outfit I’m wearing) opt for a cool top (I love this velvet crop top) and a long-line blazer. This checkered blazer is on my wish list! Add a medium sized handbag (I love this one because it ties in the beige/taupe and black tones of this outfit), black pumps and some gold hoops
Last up – a casual faux leather pants look! With high rise faux leather pants opt for a knit cropped sweater (the combo of textures is always a win). Go for a fun or bold color to add some pop to the look. This knit cropped sweater comes in 5 different colors – I have it in two and absolutely love it. Add in a giant tote bag and some boots and you are good to go. This daisy rose bag is one of my most popular ‘sellers’ of all time (FYI I’m able to see what items people purchase so I can track what you guys like and don’t like!) This bag is inspired by the LV Neverfull and is under $50. It also comes in cream and brown.
Love these looks!!
