Last week I talked about one spring trend I’ve been loving, and today I wanted to share 5 key spring 2021 fashion trends that you need to know about. This are trends that are super wearable and easy to incorporate into your existing spring / summer wardrobe.
Before I get to the trends, in today’s outfit I’m wearing 3 of the key trends… without reading ahead can you guess what they are?! I would link the skirt and blouse but unfortunately they’re not online yet! They’re from H&M and you should be able to find them in store if you’re interested!
One dainty but fun trend for spring is all things pearl. Think pearl embellished clothing, handbags and shoes. If that seems a bit too bold for you, start with pearl accessories like scrunchies, hair bands and earrings.
Statement collars are something I’ve loved for ages so I am thrilled to see them coming in as a spring 2021 fashion trend. I love a ruffle mockneck collar for a wear to work look and an oversized collar on a button down shirt is very gen-z cool, but wearable for us millennials. There are so many options with size, texture and embellishments, I definitely recommend adding a few different styles to your spring wardrobe.
This ‘trend’ has been around for a while now, but we are really seeing it surge in popularity as a spring 2021 fashion trend. With high rise bottoms being all the rage, crop tops feel a lot more accessible and more wearable than in years past. You don’t need to show a lot of skin to style this trend. Pair with high rise jeans and a shacket or cardigan and you’ve got a great spring look.
As someone who wears a suit to work nearly every day, I already love a good one color outfit. Seeing this trend everywhere for spring makes me so happy!! It’s a step forward from the loungewear of 2020 – it’s effortless (it’s great when you’re outfit has an exact match and you don’t need to think about what to wear), but still feels put together. There are so many sets I love right now, I had a hard time narrowing it down. I’ve included shorts sets, skirt sets, more loungewear and more dressy options below!
And the last spring 2021 fashion trend is small handbags! This is one trend I’m going to struggle with but I’m determined to try it out. Bags are getting smaller and smaller and right now small shoulder bags – think early 2000’s vibes – are back on trend. Most of the bags I linked below are under $3o so if you’re a bit hesitant, like me, these are an affordable way to try out this spring fashion trend.
