Happy International Women’s Day! I love seeing women succeed. I love seeing women embrace and celebrate who they are. We are strong and powerful and bring such an important voice to so many conversations. In honor of International Women’s Day I wanted to share a round-up post of 5 women who inspire me. I’ve done full blog posts on each of these women, so you can click through the links below to read more about the person (and see details of the outfit I’m wearing, which is inspired by them!)
We all know Nancy Pelosi, but did you know that she is an advocate for girls education across the globe? Check out my full post on Nancy Pelosi for more.
Do you hear the name Jane Fonda and think of your mom doing 80’s workout videos?! Let me tell you, in addition to her epic 80’s fitness Jane Fonda is a fierce activist who has been attending protests and standing up for issues like the environment and women’s rights since before I was born. Read more about why Jane Fonda is such an inspiration.
You know her, you love her. The iconic T Swift, in addition to single handedly making quarantine bearable with the release of not one but two albums is a woman who has come into her own power while growing up under the microsope of fame. She is a political activist and really, would just be an awesome best friend lol. Read more about why I love Taylor Swift (and get my sequin blazer outfit details!)
The beloved AOC is a fierce advocate for honesty and transparency in the political system. She’s also a woman rising through the political ranks who advocates for nothing less than being who she is and not fitting the mold of what she is told she needs to be. Read more about why AOC is making waves politically (and see the details of this outfit I’m wearing and why it’s inspired by her!)
I had to throw this on my list for my fellow law or true-crime lovers. You probably haven’t heard of Andrea D. Lyon, but you need to know her. She is a defense attorney that has taken the legal world by storm. She was the first female to ever represent an accused on death row. She is inspiring as a lawyer and as a woman. Read more about her here.
There are so, so many other woman I could name who inspire me daily, but these are 5 I thought you’d be interested in hearing more about. Who are some women who inspire you!?
