Spring has finally arrived in Vancouver! How beautiful are these pink blossoms?! Every spring I find myself switching over my closet to my spring/summer clothes and looking to see what pieces I still love and how I can style them this spring to be on trend and fashi0nable.
This baby blue pantsuit was one of those spring closet finds. I first styled it on LegalLee Blonde 2 years ago – see the baby blue pantsuit for spring post – with a floral blouse and a statement handbag. I’m actually wearing the exact same heels I am in this p0st! What can I say, when I find a pair of comfortable heels I wear them to death haha. I have these Sam Edelman pumps in 5 colors and can’t recommend them enough as the perfect everyday heel.
Today, I wanted to share an updated look for this baby blue pantsuit that is right on trend for spring 2021.
I don’t know if it’s the loungewear vibe we’ve all been in for a year bleeding into trends for the season, but one of the most unusual styling trends I’ve seen for spring work wear is to wear a crew neck sweater tied over your suit. I wasn’t sure about this layering trend at first but after wearing it once I’m definitely a fan. It gives you a fashion-forward outfit with very little effort, and honestly if you’re like me and get cold all the time, it’s kinda nice to have a sweater on hand lol.
To finish off this year’s version of an outfit featuring this spring pantsuit, I went with a square neck white tank top. Square neckline’s are all the rage right now and they are great to layer under a blazer or cardigan.
I also decided to go with a bold red lip – (longwear because #masks) – and style my hair half-up. We’re seeing a lot of half-up/half-down hairstyles this season and personally I think it’s a great choice for work since it allows you to feel professional with your hair pulled off your face, without dealing with a full on bun or other updo and the inevitable headache that that leads to by 3pm lol.
Since this spring pantsuit is a few years old, it is no longer available for purchase. I did find a few similar blue pantsuits at different price points to share with all of you though in case you want to add something similar to your closet this spring.
