For my first post of the new year I wanted to share with you my favorite top 10 items of 2021. Ranging from fashion, to beauty, to housewares, these are the things I have loved the most in 2021 and know will be in constant use for me in 2022.
Hope you see some things you love. Cheers to the New Year! 🥂
Camille Long Stem Wine Glasses
Alex & I had these camille wine glasses on our wedding registry and they are easily one of my 2021 favorite things. We have the red wine, white wine and champagne coupe glasses. I get compliments every time I serve people with these. They are dramatic and elegant. (Plus they are nearly identical to the i c o n i c long stem wine glasses Olivia Pope drinks from in the show Scandal lol)
Suite by Jennifer Coats
Suite by Jennifer coats are one of the most unique and beautiful items you can add to your closet. I first got the champagne all day quick escape coat, which I think every woman should have in their closet. Then I had the great privilege of working with Jennifer to launch her first bridal coat (pictured to the R). The custom makes these coats with your and your fiance’s initials printed throughout the floral pattern of the coat. I absolutely adore this coat and recommend it for any bride to be.
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara is my new favorite mascara, and it’s a drug store find! I believe that the best mascaras aren’t actually the expensive ones (see my review of the top drug store mascaras). I discovered the L’Oreal Telescopic one in 2021 and it has been my go to ever since. It lengthens like no other mascara and I don’t find it smudges or flakes like many other lengthening ones do!
Amazon Feather Trim Robe
I bought this Amazon feather trim robe on a whim because, hi, it’s stunning, with absolutely NO idea what I would do with it. Turns out it is the best thing to have for boosting your mood when you want to feel ‘extra’ when getting ready for an event. I’ve worn it so many times and I just love it so much. I even wore it for my wedding day ‘getting ready’. It comes in over a dozen colors! The shade I’m wearing is “dusty rose”.
Impress Press-On Nails
I’m hooked on Impress nails! Especially during the pandemic, doing your nails at home is so much easier. I love all the patterns impress has. I even took 3 pair on our honeymoon so I could change my nails with each new destination we went to. 🙊 If you struggle with having them stay on (sometimes the sticker backing on them works great, other times not so much) use non-damaging nail glue (I love this one) and your nails will easily last two weeks.
Nadine Merabi is a new-to-me designer that has quickly become one of my favorites for statement making outfits. Whether you are looking for something for a birthday bash, bachelorette or NYE, Nadine Merabi just wows. Pictured to the R is the Amelia White jumpsuit which I wore for our rehearsal dinner (and again last night to celebrate our 6 month wedding anniversary!).
Chloe Woody Sandals
The Chloe Woody sandals were one of my favorite shoe purchases of the year. They’re a splurge but I have worn them with so many outfits, from casual to dressy, and definitely will be bringing them on 2022 warm weather vacations. If you want to hear more about them check out my Chloe Woody Sandals review (which includes a tip for how to get them for $125 less than regular retail!)
Ettika Jewelry is that perfect balance of quality without being overly priced. They’re jewelry is made of quality materials but is still affordably priced with most pieces in the $40-$70 range. In 2021 I added these earrings, these earrings , this necklace, & this anklet to my closet and all 3 are in constant rotation. If you want to check out Ettika jewelry, you can use the code LTKLLB20 for 20% off your order!
Admittedly this isn’t so much one item as a collection of items, but one of my top 10 favorite items of 2021 was all things picnic. I can’t wait for spring when we can start having picnics again. This collapsible mini picnic table with wine glass holders was probably our most used item this summer. For more picnic stuff, see my post on Summer Picnics: A Simple Menu & Picnic Supplies.
Another new-to-me brand in 2021 that has become one of my all time favorites is Alexia Maria. They make the most stunning silk jumpsuits & dresses. I wore the Emily Silk Bow Front Jumpsuit for my bridal shower (check out my Paris Fashion Week themed bridal shower post). The bow front version is no longer in stock but the bow-back version is. Alexia Maria pieces all come in a ton of colors so you can get the perfect look for your event.
