Spring is here!! At least in my mind it is lol. I know a lot of us are planning upcoming spring events, be that baby or bridal showers we’re attending, our weddings or even just brunches with friends. I wanted to try out a few of the new Abercrombie dresses and share my thoughts on them to help you shop for your spring events.
These dresses are not maternity so they’re great for everyone, but all of them are bump friendly for any preggos like me 🙂 I’ll share info on each about dress fit generally and how they fit over a baby bump.
Be sure to read to the end as I’ll also share a collage of some of other bump-friendly spring dresses I’ve found!
I think this is the *perfect* spring dress for any dressier events. I’m personally going to wear it as my Easter dress this year for Church with Alex’s family and our family brunch after. This would also be great for a baby or bridal shower.
Dress Details: This dress fits true to size; I’m wearing my usual size medium. This dress comes in 3 prints, all of which are so pretty for spring and the cost is under $100 ($89 to be exact).
For my Pregnant Ladies: Because the dress has smocked backing and a looser fit through the body you can get your usual size and it will still accommodate a bigger chest as well as the baby bump.
For a more casual dress option, I love this mini dress! This would be great for a spring break vacation and perfect to wear into summer.
Dress Details: This dress also fits true to size, again I’m in my usual size medium. It comes in regular, short and tall and I’m 5’7 and wearing the regular. It comes in 4 colors/prints (see below) – I’m also ordering it in the white! This one costs $79.
For my Pregnant Ladies: Again, the smocking on this dress makes it perfect for your growing body. With the loose waist and the slightly longer mini length I don’t think you need to size up at all to have it fit over your baby bump.
This one is great for spring with the trendy puff long sleeves and the lace up corset style front.
Dress Details: If you’re not pregnant, this dress fits true to size. It comes in three colors/prints, though I love this mint green as it’s trending for spring. It’s just $69!
For my Pregnant Ladies: This one definitely requires some adjusting from your normal size if you’re pregnant. The length is a bit shorter than the other mini and less flowy, so to accommodate a baby bump I would go with your regular size BUT in a “tall”. Here I’m wearing a medium tall. As you can see it is quite tight on my chest so if you have changed a lot in your chest during pregnancy I may consider going up a size and going with the tall. I’m going to exchange this one for a large tall so that it will continue to fit me over the next two months of baby growth.
As promised, I rounded up a few other dresses that are bump friendly that would perfect for spring/summer. These from other retailers I love like Red Dress Boutique, Pink Lily Boutique and more Check out the collages below and, as always, click the widget image to shop any dress you like! XO Lee
