There are so many cute baby clothes out there and as a mom-to-be (especially a first time one!) shopping for baby can be overwhelming. After a ton of research I finally have my favorite brands for newborn baby clothing and wanted to share them with you all in case it can make shopping easier for anyone else. 🙂
My favorite brands for newborn baby clothing have a few key things in common. Especially for that newborn stage I care about quality, really soft fabrics with minimal chemicals and organic fabrics.
I’ll share my favorite brands below as well as what items we’ve already bought for baby B!
Without a doubt my favorite brand for newborn baby clothes is Kyte Baby. I was apprehensive about trying Kyte when I saw their price tag but after buying Kyte Baby footies I was immediately hooked. The fabric is the softest fabric I have EVER FELT. On anything, ever. The fabric is bamboo but I have no idea how it’s as soft as it is. It’s also sustainably made. I also love that they have a collection of colors and they make all their pieces in these shades so you can easily mix and match and create a wardrobe for baby.

Did you know that skincare brand Burt’s Bees makes baby clothing?! They do, and it is fantastic. They’ve taken their approach to organics and sustainability and applied it to baby clothes. All their baby clothes are GOTS certified and pesticide free.

Baby Gap is my go to for the less practical but oh so cute outfits for photos. I love that they have options for matching with dad and with mom and they’re outfits are just so freaking cute. Plus, if you or your partner are Star Wars fans (Alex is a huge fan) they have the cutest line of Star Wars baby clothes. The first thing I ever bought for baby B was actually a Star Wars romper from here (it’s sold out now) which I gave to Alex as a Christmas present.

For an affordable baby clothing brand I adore H&M. They have carried their conscious collection into newborn baby clothes, which means the production of these clothes has a low environmental impact which is fantastic. Most of the clothes are also made of 100% organic cotton, and as mentioned they are affordable! I’m in shock by how many good packs/sets they have – like this kimono onesie and shorts set that has 3 pair of onesies and matching shorts for just $35.

Canadian owned Parade makes their baby clothes from GOTS certified organic cotton and they focus on Kimono style gowns and onesies – perfect for newborns while their umbilical cords are healing. Parade is also really cool because all of their products are made fair-trade in India.
Those are my top 5 favorites! Are there any brands you love for baby clothes that aren’t listed here?! Let me know and I’ll check them out!
