After what seems like forever, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finally starts public access today! The sale opens to the public at 9:30 PST / 12:30 EST. If you haven’t yet read my post on how to prepare for the Nordstrom sale / a checklist, go do that! I also recommend placing multiple orders if there are a lot of items you want. Since things sell out so quickly, and items in your cart are not reserved, if there are two or three “must-haves” you want, add those to your cart immediately and check out. Then you can go back and more leisurely order your other items.
Today I’m sharing a fitting room review with you – below are photos of items I recommend from the sale, with everything you need to know about sizing, fit, etc. so you can make sure you get the best items for your wardrobe! Let’s get to it:
This blazer is one of my favorite pieces from the sale because it really is a high-quality blazer at a great price. It runs large, so I would size down 1 size (I’m wearing a 4). This color is perfect for fall, not only for a work look, but paired with denim for the weekend.
A black midi dress is a closet staple, and you will not regret adding this to your wardrobe! It’s such a beautiful dress that hangs perfectly (not too tight but still form fitting). It fits true to size!
All 3 of these items can be styled so many ways! The black turtleneck is soft & not see-through. It fits true to size.
The mini skirt also fits true to size, though know that the material is quite thick with no give!
The OTK boots are the BEST BOOTS!! They stay up (so many OTK boots don’t) and elongate your legs. The website says they run small so to order a 1/2 size up, but I don’t find that at all! I went with my usual 9.5 and they are perfect!
This is a perfect addition to your work wear wardrobe! The color is great for fall/winter, and it is a great deal during the sale. The ruched sleeves are a nice touch and the suit definitely looks more expensive than it is. I’m impressed with the quality. Both pieces fit true to size!
Online this sweater looks like a weird browny color, but in person it is a perfect orange-y rust. I highly recommend this for fall! I would size down unless you want a really oversized fit. I go between a S/M and went with a S in this.
These faux leather spanx are a perfect basic to snag during the sale. They run true to size & you can wear them all fall/ winter with so many outfits!
This wrap top comes in muliple colors and is great to wear with a pencil skirt. What I love is that as someone with a larger chest it doesn’t cut too low!! Such a rare find! Fit is true to size!
The pencil skirt is well made – it is thicker so you don’t show any panty lines etc. I also love the just below the knee length! It comes in burgundy as well and fits true to size!
Here is the wrap top in dark green – I love how it can be styled for work (above) or weekend (here).
These skinny jeans never go on sale and are the best and making your booty look good lol! They fit true to size.
The knee high boots are comfortable and a gorgeous color for fall. They also fit true to size.
I am sad to report that I DON’T recommend this dress! It looked amazing online, but just doesn’t fit well on my body shape. If you have a narrow rib cage, it will be gorgeous, but if you don’t the fit is just not quite right.
This cotton tee has a rounded v-neck cut and is just your perfect staple tee. It comes in a ton of colors/prints and fits true to size. I paired it here with two of my other ‘must-haves’ as mentioned above, the faux leather spanx and the OTK boots.
This jacket was my top selling item during early access, and I can see why! It runs true to size. These are the same skinny jeans as above.
These ankle boots are great – I’m ordering them in black and leopard. They do run small though – size up a half size!
Similar to the earlier suit shared, this one is a gorgeous longline blazer and just-below-the-knee pencil skirt. The other is a deeper plum shade, while this is a warmer wine shade. I am definitely loving it for fall! It also comes in other colors though! The skirt fits true to size, but the blazer runs large- I would size down one size.
